Ethnologica Helvetica has been published from 1979-1997 by the Swiss Ethnological Society. The journal intends to provide information on fields of work, problems and working methods in anthropology and at the same time to give a picture of anthropology in Switzerland. The volumes in this series are aimed first and foremost at anthropologists, but beyond that at all those interested in the anthropological study of people and cultures, among them in particular journalists, teachers and staff at development cooperation organisations.
