Master's degree in Ethnomusicology

The Universities of Geneva and Neuchâtel, in partnership with the University of Applied Sciences in Music (Geneva-Neuchâtel) offer a two-year Master's degree in Ethnomusicology.

The programme combines theoretical and thematic courses in the social science of musical expressions and practices with hands-on experience with a variety of musical genres, and with the activities (exhibitions, archiving, publications) of French-Switzerland's two well known ethnography museums, in Geneva and Neuchâtel. Coursework is mainly conducted in French, but students may write in English.

The deadline for inscription in the 2021 programme is April 30, 2021.  Acceptance in the programme is conditioned on an interview, which will take place on June 8, 2021.
