Crowning Scandinavia - Indigenous Cultures in Greenland and Sápmi 4.-5. June 2019

The general interest in Scandinavia‘s indigenous
people is growing due to tourism and economic
interests. At the same time, the Inuit in Greenland
and the Sámi in Northern Europe are still struggling
to overcome their history of colonialisation and
find ways to revitalise their languages and cultural
traditions.
This conference intends to look beyond established
clichés and discuss recent developments in
Greenlandic and Sámi arts and research.
Registration until Friday, May 24th
