The journal Genève-Afrique | Geneva-Africa (Acta Africana) was started in 1962 by the Institut Africain (Geneva), which in 1973 became the Institut d'études du développement (IED). In 1978 the young SSAS together with the Institut universitaire des études internationales et du développement (IUED) took charge of the journal. All issues are available in digital format on the ProQuest platform.
